           After a short business meeting, our June program will feature Jeffrey DeCaen in a discussion of his preparations for the development of the Center. He will present a video of this innovative and extraordinary building project and there will be time for audience questions and discussion before he leads a group tour of the Kaufman Center, pictured below.

          

The USC Glorya Kaufman International Dance Center is recognized as a ‘Palace for Dance’. Jeffrey DeCaen, Associate Dean of Operations USC Kaufman Center and the USC Thornton School of Music has overseen several major construction and renovation projects for music buildings on the USC Campus

            The prospect of building a state-of-the-art Kaufman Dance Center at USC required him to do more than a bit of homework. Preparation involved researching national and international Dance Centers and Performance Venues in preparation for the 2014 groundbreaking of the Kaufman Center.

 

Annual Spring Musical Success

Saturday Matinee, 1 April 2017. Bing Theatre, University Park Campus 3500 Watt Way.  Parmer Fuller of Holiday Party fame conducted the USC School of Dramatic Arts Spring Musical Production of Evita.  A block of seats special-priced for SRA members quickly sold out. And a good time was had by all!

Staff Retirement Recognition Luncheon-2017

Sponsored by the Office of the Senior Vice President, Administration, and hosted by the USC Staff Retirement Association (SRA), and USC Emeriti Center, the 32nd Annual Staff Retirement Recognition Luncheon recognizes USC staff colleagues who retired the previous calendar year, January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.

Dan Stimmler, from the Vice President for Administration’s Office (COO of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum) will be the speaker, with an open-mic-Q&A. New Retirees in attendance will be introduced and the J. Tillman Hall Staff Award for Service to USC by a Retired Staff Member will be presented.

Friday, March 17, 2017  USC Town & Gown 11:30am to 1:45pm
