Membership Recruitment and Renewals/Open

  • Dick, asked for permission to remove from the distribution lists all members who are two (2) or more years in arrears. Mike noted that we need to move more toward electronic notification. Leslie reminded the Board that we also need more of a presence at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC), perhaps hosting a meeting at HSC, possible a meet and greet or a lecture on work and family life. Bill Givens noted that the Staff Assembly meets at HSC every third time, and perhaps we could “piggy back”. We also need an SRA poster that we can put up around both campuses to recruit new members.

Internet/Web Site Content/Linda Forman:

  • John Casagrande and Bob Scales are working to consolidate the individual “web platforms” used by the various EC-related groups. Minutes of the SRA board meetings are current on the SRA website. Janette has asked all SRA members to review the web site and email suggestions for corrections and improvements to her, including the URL of the page that needs corrections (see Emeriti Center report).

Staff Assembly Report/David Donovan:

  • Todd Dickey’s report to the SRA has been postponed due to illness..
  • Calendar year term Staff Assembly (SA) elections are coming soon. Half the seats come vacant each year (30 out of 60). After elections, officers are chosen by the SA.
